Naw I’ve never left before the transaction was complete… but I’d also like to know if it’s normalyall just leave money on table and walk out? is that normal?

I’ve left money on tables numerous times like other folks in here have said that they did. It’s not something new or uncommon.

what country are ya'll from where this is unusual? At restaurants in America, they leave a check on your table, you leave cash and leave.
If you paying with a card you wait for them to run it then leave a tip and leave. This was in no way a set up.
Idgaf about what someone else do. I do the best for me. And the best for me is not trying to emulate movies by leaving money on a table and bouncing. Im handing cash to someone. But if for some reason I left my payment on my table. I would just told dude it’s on the table and kept it pushing. This ain’t even know race thing imo. The waiter said dude ask for a bill. Then he saw him bounce without paying. I can see why the waiter thought it was something else. Homey saw an opportunity to go viral and took it.

I completely understand what you're saying, but the bartender still didn't do their job by looking before chasing breh down. Doesn't have anything to do with race or anything like that, just that guy actually doing his job, instead of assuming. Would've only taken him a few seconds.

I'm just trying to understand how this is foreign to you when everybody does it. leaving your cash or card on the check in is the traditional way of paying for food is casual and upscale dining.
