In some classes, you don't need them because the work is more about the step by step process in working the problem. Like dude mentioned, in that case you can leave them in fractional form which you'll get usually through simple algebra in working the problem..what kinda of bullshyt is this
I remember when I had my first class with that rule and I literally made the
face. I think it was calc 2 where I first ran into that rule but all the answers were usually something you arrived at without much difficult calculation and it was more about just showing your work until you're finished and its in the right form.

, back in high school and my friend somehow got the answer sheet for an upcoming test. We never used it to get A’s, only mid to high B’s to not raise any suspicion.
