Watching that video a few days back ... I sensed that on his end, there's a legit "You're the one that got away" feeling in his heart. It's clear she wanted it to work, and it's clear they had something that legit could have gone the distance. While she wouldn't outright say it ... she basically implied that had he been straightforward about matters from the jump there's a good chance they could have worked it out.
