Breh.. Office jobs suck

I'm trying to get an office job as we speak.

Working outside is meh.

I work in an office too and yes it does suck. Cons: sitting all day, staring at computer all day, work can get boring, office politics (thankfully I dont have that here) and limited contact with outside world (my biggest con). BUT it is better than manual labor. I think the only jobs better than what I do now (accounting) are nursing/doctor and firefighter/police officer. I can see almost everything else being worse than an office job.

You have to make use of your time, thats the biggest thing.

I was a newspaper journalist

I could come and go as I please and no one would care because I would just drive around and talk to random to "brain storm" story ideas

Only thing that sucker was:

Using my car every day so paying more gas and unnecessary mileage on my car

The pay is wack and it can be a high stress job.....opposing newspapers getting more details or beating us to the punch on a story

Now I sit in an office and I listen to music, do my 8 hours and bounce. It's better but I miss talking to people and writing and being creative

But I make double my old salary now so fukk a newspaper

i need jobs where im active and moving. No manual labor bs

Go do landscaping when its 100 out, or go work with a contractor in the summer and see if your bytching about your desk in the AC summers, Heated winters

And it's basically more analytical, investigate type work which print journalism basically taught me

I was closed off from everyone else, and if my coworkers werent wack then we was chilling. Could get up and do "field work" but still come back and chill at my desk or in the workshop.

Could chill in server rooms or go anywhere in the building and be like I was working... Because I usually was anyway

If wack nikkas was in the office I bounced. If I had to go offsite I grabbed the company vehicle and bounced.

I would be in other departments kicking it or other cats would come to our shop (if we let them in) and talk shyt... TV's going with sports center on, throwing the football around, working nights and not seeing anybody, etc

Yup. I use to work in a warehouse packing books for $10/hr with no AC. If it was 90 outside it would be 100+ inside..

Yeah, they be out there holding them signs and reflecting back on their lives and what lead them to this point. I don't even shop at them joints that have their employees out there like that.
