Yep i have family members who are in polygamous marriages. The women have their own land and house. For some people it works and for some people it doesn't. I think at the most two wives is ok. Four, five, six, and ten wives is too much.

There are several reasons behind polygamous relationship. Two of them that you listed are correct, and another reason is that for someone they are cool with it and it is a part of their culture. With that being said, maybe I am wrong, but I always got the feeling of pimp, bottom bytch, and hoes from this family. I know people are going to trip, but I get that vibe from some of the things I have seen concerning the family.

I've seen only a few couples like this and that is always the vibe I get. There is always that one member that seems not so comfortable with the whole situation.
