Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
I'm sure they do, without a doubt, but what about everybody else though? A rich person's opinion means little to me as we don't live in the same reality. That's where the disconnect is that people miss all the time
Absolutely. They don’t know others exist.

Rich people barely even know nyc has 4 other boroughs that’s why I hate watching their food reviews on IG

Talk to any rich person in nyc or high earner and they strongly believe they are getting their moneys worth lol.

Also rich people generally love to live around other rich people.....and NYC is one of the largest concentrations of wealth in the world and certainly one of the top two in the US

Rich people like it because they have access to large financial industries, restaurant capital of America, extensive entertainment options, airport and travel hub, endless supply of whores, range of shopping from low end to high end, real estate market geared to facilitate money laundering, easy access along the east coast of America and Europe, proximity to political power, highly walkable city...

Aside from this video he has an interesting background......I watched some of of his earlier videos and he is a meteorology and math major who switched to computer science and has been at Amazon for over 6 years

Brooklyn
I know someone that lives in the same area in financial district, on 22nd floor, but they’re paying 3500 for one bedroom

Is it a low floor apartment? Remember Manhattan is all about the views.

My bad you said 22nd floor. Hmmm is it a super tall building surrounded by other buildings or does it have Hudson River views?

That’s not true. He would likely have to have several years of experience or be in an upper level role to be making that much. I mean you can do a quick salary search and see that there are SDE positions at Amazon making less than 200k, even based in New York.

I think y’all overestimate how much some of these companies are paying when you haven’t been in the field 8-10 years yet. I work in HR systems and have seen some of the salaries of people, and while there are definitely people earning 300k-500k, there are also a lot of people making in the 150k-175k based in the Northeast.

It also depends on the specific departments and projects they hired to be working on.

You have to look at his total comp not just his salary.

Since he works at Amazon and is a software engineer in NYC. I'm confident his total comp is above $550k if he has anything above 5 years of experience. Could be higher depending on when he joined and how the stock performed.

Besides that, the part he isn't telling is his tiktok/IG videos are a business. So the phone, food and clothes he bought are part of his influencer lifestyle so he writes them off as business expenses to offset the money he makes :sas2:

It's levels to this tax shyt :myman:

6000 on rent for a 1 bedroom is crazy. Must be a primo location in a building full of amenities he never uses

fukk it could be worth it to live it up for a year or two in the city :manny:

He's eating at top tier NY restaurants for an entire month.. I don't really see it's that expensive tbh

Also that included regular uber so transportation

The food spend is absurd. Mans could do all his grocery shopping at Whole Foods and spend far less. He’s just being lazy. Dude is literally using Uber Eats every day. That’s ridiculous.

I thought all the rich people took over Brooklyn after taking over Manhattan. That's two boroughs right there

I heard they are slowly branching out into Queens (long Island already taken over)

Its one month :hubie: he may never go to some of those places again.

I guess Uber eats fukked up the game bc NY already had delivery at a lot of places before they came along

He also spent 2500 on new clothes which already look too tight :mjlol:

And 1600 on a new phone

The main problem is the fukking rent but he got it like that :manny:
