The only skating rinks I went to (and that we mostly had) in NYC were ice skating rinks and all they play is Frank Sinatra, The Eagles & Dean Martin.

just think of the movies Roll Bounce or ATL without all the choreographed dancing...that was my Saturday night in high school.

Basketball or Football game on Friday followed by a YMCA party. Skating rink on Saturday...

Those were the days.

It's music made for white people. You know they have no rhythm. You're not supposed to be on beat. It's just background music so you don't skate in silence.
