Though it may seem to be rare with media and the world having an addiction for highlighting negativity and fukkery it definitely does exist. Now what is love? Love to me is when a person does not purposely do things to harm you in any way shape or form.

Infidelity, verbal abuse, emotional abuse, physical abuse etc towards ones partner is not love to me.

Even though we can interpret abusive behavior as more akin to hate than love, some people were raised in cultures/environment/influences that have told them from the time they could barely think that forms of abuse are in fact real love


So they grow up with that and exercise it on their partners not understanding how toxic this twisted form of love is. But it is love nonetheless. Just an unhealthy expression

And I'd have to disagree as well. Just because someone was taught that abuse is love, doesn't mean it is love.

I think true love existed before. But in this era.. I think it became extremely rare. Love is also about patience but people nowadays seem to lack that patience. Instead of trying to fix situations, they avoid them by breaking up.

Some are more feelings and butterflies while others are more "2+2=4" type of thing and it's ok, it doesn't mean it's not love...

I got into an argument with this girl about this today. I took the stance that it doesn't and that love is only based on qualities and things that someone can provide you.

She tried to use herself as an example at one point. The nikka she's dating right now gave her a ring that said she's his only love and has his name etched in it. It's looking out for someone's best interests. True love is when you both pour into and nurture a relationship. True love is supporting one another and working together. Takes a lot of patience and compromise and letting go of your fears and ego for the benefit of someone else.
