I still mainly use my desktop and I'm not even really a PC gamer.

Mainly I like the fact that they're easy to build and upgrade compared to laptops. Plus I rock with multiple monitors.

Anyone have a mac mini?

I have a chromebook that I use on the go but at home I've had an old as shyt dell laptop hooked up to a 52 inch monitor via hdmi cable. Since I already have the monitor setup along with a wireless keyboard/mouse already, I'm thinking that grabbing the mac mini with 8gb ram would be a cheap but really nice upgrade to what I'm working with now.

Desktop users fall into 3 categories for me.

PC Gamers or heavy media watchers
Power users who need to render large files quickly or music
The small percentage of those who are still not comfortable using a trackpad
