far from a double standard. different people on here have different levels of morals. you'll have guys telling other dudes not to lie to a woman and to let her choose if she wants to mess with a dude and then you have dudes who look at lying and making up false personas as a valid tactic. everyone must make the choice to hold themselves to a high or low moral standard and accept what judgment comes with it.

Your mistake was talking to Guy A about B and then telling guy A you didnt like guy B. He wasnt asking because he wanted to know, he was asking because he already could tell and wanted to hear it from you. I dont think you messed up your chances with guy B though. Get to know guy B on your own, not through guy A.
