Its when you basically bet that a stock will go up to a certain price, by a certain date.

So I basically bet Fisker would have a stock price of $35 or higher by January 15th

It wont reach that until biden takes office, maybe a month after.

Will you have to buy 100 shares at that price?

Technically no. But you can.

If you buy it at that price, it is known as "exercising" the option.

But you could also just collect the profits: so say the stock goes all the way up to $50 somehow. $50 minus the $35 I predicted it would be at least = $15, which will be the profit. (It will actually be less than $15, since to buy an option you pay a premium price. It can range from $0.05 per 100 shares to $10 or more per 100 shares depending on how much or how little a gamble it will be.)

What should I do about this brehs :damn:

You're fukked breh. :mjlol:

Unless you have some insider trading type knowledge, go LONG on your calls...

I'm sure AMC is not going out of business...I'm sure if it gets to that point someone will swoop in and buy them out. The call options are not expensive, push them out 1/2022 or 1/2023 even, almost GUARANTEED to print. Movies are not going anywhere, especially the largest theatre in the US.
