Brehs...Can I Use iPhone headphones for in-game audio + chat for Xbox one?

i know i can get the game audio thru there but i wanna know if the mic would work too (so i can chat with friends)

im gonna pick up a turtle beach but this could tide me over

i plugged in it last night, audio worked but chat wouldnt, which is why i was asking. anyway thanks
