Dude went from being Oakland's started and putting up decent numbers on a phenomenally trash team with not even one viable weapon to a prospective 3rd string in Seattle. This isn't a thread on race or unfair shakes to QBs but what yall think about the boy's future? Could he get back to being a starter somewhere and if so what would need to happen?

He shoulda never went to Ohio State to learn to play QB. :yeshrug:
true indeed. but regardless he has shown there is talent there so thats irrelevant at this point. He could easily be molded into a mid tier starter and if surrounded by weapons would ball out

Ok, in all seriousness.

I think he'll stay in the league a little while because of his athleticism. He's beyond Kaep imo in terms of speed, quickness, strength, etc. However, I just think his career path delayed his development. He was a top basketball recruit who far more polished in that sport than at QB. He then went to Ohio State which doesnt develop the best QBs either. Oakland would have been good for him if Palmer and Hue Jackson stayed. Seattle is making the most of Pryor, but it might be too late. If he was 21 I'd think he'd have a shot to start in this league someday. Its too bad though. He has flashes, but just doesnt have the football IQ imo.

Fair enough. I hate to use this comparison but if Andy Reid and the Eagles staff could turn Michael Vick fresh out of jail into a viable QB; so much that they through McNabb in the bushes for him then I KNOW Pryor can be turned around. It would just take a devoted staff to do it

He had some poor decision making at times but there wee games where he played mistake free football even with that trash line and ZERO weapons. Add to the fact that the Raiders are a perennial loser culture right now and I was impressed with his performance last year. He doesnt play like a game manager either; very tenacious for somebody in their first starts

Look at it like this.

Physically (especially with his improved throwing motion) he can almost do it all on the field.
Just on physical prowess he was on pace for 3000 passing/1000 rushing (which has never been done before) with the Raiders last year before hurting his knee.
Thats with poor decision making, new playbook, new throwing motion, on the Raiders and Rod Streator as the best wr on the team.

His issue was that he couldnt put the ball in the endzone though. McGloin was getting touchdowns and putting up points. McGloin has a much stronger arm so he can gun throws in there.

I was kind of hoping the Eagles got him. Because I think Chip would have made him an excellent backup QB. The Bears would have been as well because they have a QB guru at HC.

same. Pryor on the eagles would be :bryan: status if foles was a one hit wonder. But Sanchez looks good so I guess hes formidable insurance

Pryor in a fast pace offense....with Chip Kelly calling plays, Shady in the backfield, quick simple reads/throws...

:wow:

Then again I thought Vick was gonna light it up in Chip's offense and he let me down last year. :snoop:

Foles is really good though. So I dont think he's a one hit wonder.

Vick was an enigma. It's hard being an eagles fan thinking back to him in 2010 and wondering what happened besides injuries. Every game he played you thought he was on the brink of going off and pulling that W out but the Eagles would always pull some fukkery out and take the L. Unfathomable it was at times.

Last year it was the O-line but once foles started playing the oline was bless. I couldnt defend Vick much after that Broncos thrashing last year. That's when I knew the magic was done
