Find the balance between what you want in life, what you want to do for years (or can tolerate at the very least) and money to sustain the lifestyle you seek.

People too damn busy trying to keep up with the joneses and inevitably make themselves and those around them fukking miserable. You don't have to keep seeking upgrades to your job, a lot of them are unpaid labor in terms of dealing with even more fukking problems and stress. Figure out if the dent in your time and the upgrade in stress is worth the raise. Often it's not.

Very true, my ex-gf was on 90k as an account manager, but she had to take a lot of outside office work at home.She worked weekends at home too. Saturday morning after a sex session she would be doing work while I cooked breakfast n chilled in bed.

She made more money than me, but I had better quality of life. I guess in the end, you choose whether stressfree lifestyle is worth more than having lots of money

I don't think I'm gonna be a management type. I work in healthcare and only have a bachelor's degree and most management has at least one advanced degree. I'm happy being a high earning professional tho.
