The movie was cool. If you read ole girl’s original Twitter thread it was exactly what you think it is.

My only gripes with it is the ending. It ended whether abruptly. It ended with the Nigerian nikka just taking them to the airport with the white chicks bf crying cuz his head was busted open from his attempted suicide. If you read ole girl’s thread there was a bit more to the story and could have been about 20 min left of the movie.

Other then that…a pretty entertaining movie

The trailer didn’t do the actual film justice. While still dream-like, it’s so much more tense in the story and the way it’s filmed. There were moments where I couldn’t help but feel that empty pit in my stomach.

Agreed. That’s my only real issue.

One of the best aspects of this movie was the way it shines a light on how white people who appropriate Black culture can still be racist. The white girl using a blaccent and AAVE was really great social commentary because she ends up being just a Karen type in disguise.

I really enjoyed this movie a lot. It was fun, funny, intense, crazy, and even poignant at times.
