Ask about incentives

But really man buy used until you got enough to make a decent down payment on new. That financing shyt is for the birds

If you go to a dealer and manage to drive off the lot paying the amount that's on the sticker , that's a win, cause that rarely happens.

I recommend buying from a private party, you get a better deal.

You go to a dealership they're going to try every trick in the book to fukk you over, so just be prepared to say screw it and walk out if you're even the slightest bit uncomfortable.
what do you mean by private party?

The Truth
Outside of the advertised price I see online, Tax, Tag and title is any other charge/fee the dealer tries to tack on BS and I should not pay them?

I went to the dealer today, called before hand and asked dude does the price I see online include Dealer Fees and dude straight said "we dont charge dealer fees"

So I get there waste about an 1hr then it comes time to talk price of sale and cats hit me with 1.4k in Fees for crap like admin fee, car prep fee, shipping fee

I`m like :stopitslime::what:

we go back and forth, they dont tell me what I want to hear so I bounce.

Hitting up another spot in the morning, is this common place or just dealers trying to jug as much profit as possible?
It's good you bounced, always bounce and tell them you'll shop around

If your credit is good and they got your number, they'll call you back to negotiate.

But yeah, all those extra fees are bullshyt....

And it's rare that I do business with a white guy

Make sure you're looking at the real MSRP. A lot of dealerships put their own sheet over or to next to it that includes bullshyt like "dealer markup" even though that's already built into the original MSRP. I saw a car with a real MSRP of $40k and the dealership put an additional dealer markup line of $10000 on it. I'm sure they'd seem real easy going and agreeable about dropping down to $45k on that since they'd still be getting way more than MSRP.

Also, refuse all of their extra bullshyt. Like paint sealant, interior protection, premium wheels, tinting, service plans, and extended warranties. It's all garbage and they have huge markups built into it. They will tell you that their service team puts it on all of the new cars automatically but that's bullshyt. If you do want any of it, get it after market somewhere else.

After that, it's all a numbers game. They are going to try to bury you in numbers. You have to be firm in how much you want to pay and how long you want to finance. If they quote you 250/month for 60 months and you say it's too much, they may drop it down to 225 but change the financing to 66 or 72 months. That's why it's important to look at all that because they may actually charge you extra when they act like they're giving you a discount.

Also, the first thing they want to do is run your credit. That tells them what kind of interest rate you can get but it also tells them how much you have shopped around including which dealerships. They can and will use that for leverage so if you are at a place, make sure they seem willing to work with you before you give them any info.

Overall, just be strong about what you want and never fall in love with the car. If they know you really want to get something done, the ball is in their court. If they know you are going to walk out and waste all of their time if you don't get a good deal, the ball is in your court.

i used to work at a dealership detailing cars. USED car salesman are snakes avoid them. if u buy new wait until the end of the year before tax time though. and find out who sells the most cars at the dealership usually he can make SOME kind of offers or discounts that others cant. haggle for oil changes and tune ups for free carwashes too if they do that. thats all i got. that sticker price isnt just for show i dont care how your credit is or who u are you arent getting to much off ofthat price unless its a end of the year sale
