The two young leads of Columbia Pictures' Goosebumps have been found! Deadline and TheWrap respectively report that Dylan Minnette (Prisoners) and Odeya Rush (The Odd Life of Timothy Green) are now set to star opposite Jack Black in the upcoming feature film based on the R.L. Stine book series.

To be directed by Rob Letterman, Goosebumps will star Black as a fictionalized version of Stine, who winds up being the suburban neighbor of Minnette's Zach Cooper. When Slappy, a ventriloquist dummy, sets loose all the terrifying ideas in Stine's head, it's up to Zach and Stine's niece, Hannah (Rush) to save the day.

The "Goosebumps" series have sold more than 300 million copies worldwide, second only to the "Harry Potter" series in total sales.

Neal Moritz is producing the film through his Original Film banner with Deborah Forte of Scholastic Entertainment.

the whole babysitter series actually, theres four of them

a nikka ate good off rl stine and christopher pike (what yall know about christopher pike?) in library class and the book fairs in school...but by 6th/7th grade i was reading this shyt :

thats actually a good idea...goosebumps was strictly for small children who just got into reading....but fear street....man you can actually make a teenager/young adult series out of some of those shyts!

rl stine had a couple real adult novels too, which they kept in the adult section in the library (but i still got my hands on the adult books :

never actually read any of the books though my cousin used to by them all as soon as they released he was a fiend for them

only ones I liked were the choose your own adventure books where you flipped pages depending on the decision you made

the only fukked up thing was...his books were in such high demand, he had ghostwriters to keep up with the demand. we dont even know what books he wrote...but pretty much anything with that rl stine name on it was
