Please if you would step away from bedwench, race-bait, and troll threads for 5 mins, I've got a shaving question.

For the last 20 or so years, ya boy has always been a clean-shaven cat. Call it a holdover from Catholic school (:scust:) and I've never really rocked any facial hair other than a small goatee.

Recently I had to run out to a date with a lady and didn't get a chance to shave. I had maybe 3-4 days growth. When I got there, she was... pleased... with the "new look" and recommended I keep it like that. Throughout the day, I noticed other women smiling and shyt as well. One chick at the store mentioned I looked like Boris Kodjoe (:mjlol: yea right). So I got to thinking, this must be the jam.

Anyway, I usually just shave with clippers to avoid razor bumps but the guard doesn't do the job the way I want it. I'm looking for the right tool for the job to keep a low-cut stubble a la Boris in the picture below. What do ya'll recommend? What do ya'll use?

Gillette Fusion /thread

Be a man and shave with a blade patna. shyt will run about $13 to start and replacement blades are high as hell, but I have never shaved with a better product in my life.

My fault player, then I would suggest getting a midrange disposable razor. shyt wont cut nearly as short, so you will have stubble poppin right away.

I went from being cute and handsome to sexy and hot when I stopped shaving clean two years ago.
Never looked back and I doubt you will, either.

If you want to keep stubble, you need a beard trimmer, not shaver.
I personally use

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B003U8ESI4/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1443582432&sr=1-2&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70

Comes with a vacuum to keep a mess from piling around the sink and has a lock function.
18 length settings if I remember correctly and only 49$ so you're not necessarily breaking the bank.
Boris' beard is right at 2 - 3 mm. Set it to that length and go over it two to three times a week, depending on how quick your facial hair grows.
If you want a 5'o'clock shadow, simply take the guard off and it'll trim you down to 0.4 mm.
You need to keep anything on and below the Adams apple clean shaven to look neat. Also, shave the cheekbones if hair grows up there to keep it looking tame and tidy.
If you bump up like I do, look into Tend Skin. I use it on my neck and have no problems.
It's the only thing that ever worked for me.
Look into some shampoo tailor made for beards in order to keep it soft as possible.
This is mainly important for your ol' ladys' comfort.

When I want that I grow my beard out full for a month. And then set my trimmer on the medium setting and it comes out perfect.

Yea, that's the tried and true technique. I just wanna be able to maintain that for longer than 2-3 days.

Prolific posting breh. Just copped that joint off amazon. What do you recommend for beard shampoo?

Glad to help. Far as shampoo goes, I have a preference for Beardsley.

It's not the cheapest but does the job and goes on easy.
Keeps my facial hair extremely soft and pleasant to the touch.
Some guys shampoo after every trim. I'm personally in that camp.
I trim my face twice a week and wash it right afterwards. Takes all of 3 - 5 minutes from start to finish.
