Honestly, you should just get any phone that's free with your upgrade. Obviously you're not a power user and have no specific functionality in mind. For all intents and purposes, all smart phones are pretty much the same.

Lotta lames on this site will try to convince you using pointless specs, etc. But as a non-self-anointed tech guru I can assure you that 99% of the cats on this site don't know much about phones.

Every smart phone on the market can do what you're asking so there's no point in spending a lot of money if that's all you want.

I would suggest getting a cheap/free android. iPhone is probably easier out of the box but it's limited in terms of customization unless you jailbreak it. But you don't cross me as the type who's too interested in that. You can also add a lot of functionality but again, we're going beyond the scope of the average user with that.

For the most part, every smart phone can do everything you want it to do. Unless you want to stream all NBA and NFL games in HD. You'll need an iPhone to do that.

My Z3 comes in tomorrow. It really is a good looking phone, I can't wait to use it. You use a case with it, breh? I have hard time picking out a legit case for it. I kind of don't want to cover it up with a case but then again I need a protection just in case I drop it.

If you're on budget. Go get the Nexus 5. It has the lollipop update and it has a shyt ton of accessories. Wireless charging pads are one of them so you can always take it with you. Has a tolerable battery life but it could have been better

If you're rich as fukk. I'd say don't bother with Galaxy Note's if you dont' think you'll use the S-Pen. Go with the LG G3 if your carrier has it. I've wanted that phone so bad but decided to skip on it. If your carrier has it. Then definitely look into the HTC One M8 or Samsung Galaxy S5. Two monster powerhouses that need no introduction.



OR...

Just wait until March or something and get an HTC One M9

Yeah phones are released like clockwork around the same time every year....that's why its best to either get them when they just come out...or wait until you find the one you really want and get it at the beginning of its cycle.
