Read in hamster one time about if time travel is real, we could have possibly run into people from the future already. They said something about if you look at the hotel stay records near infamous events in history (JFK getting shot, 9/11 etc) you can see a bunch of fake names etc. meaning, people came back from the future to witness them live.

I don't believe it but shyt like that would make a dope movie.

False.

Proof in that is that the hubble telescope can show you the past, almost to the beginning of the universe. Some of the pictures of stars that you see, are from million of years ago, yet you're seeing them present day.

Per Einstein you should be able to go both forward and backward in time. And I think I will believe him over you.
thats not...THE PAST though...Its a representation of the past.

I explained in another thread how time travel is real and has already happened. It's constantly happens actually.

Also time travel is possible. But future time travel not past time travel. It "can" be done 3 ways. Through a wormhole which is HIGHLY unlikely considering the time they exist and the small scale that they exist on. Two, since time slows down when you are near a dense body a Black hole (extremely dense) can be used. This is done by coming close enough to the Black hole to be put into an orbit but not pulled into it. The time near the hole would seem normal to the travelers but on Earth the time would pass twice as fast (for example). However this theory doesn't allow for large amounts of time to be traveled. The third is by using the speed of light. As of now nothing is faster than the speed of light. It is one of the rules of this particular dimensional reality and has not/can not be broken b/c once an object approaches the speed of light time begins to slow to prevent you. This theory would allow for large amounts of time to be traveled but it would require a very large ship that would likely never be seen again to travel far far away from Earth. It would allow us to reach the closest "Earth-like" plant in about 70 years. With this method and amazing amounts of fuel you would be able to travel millions of years into the future.

Time travel has already happen in a lab using partials.

it's all about putting things in perspective
what exactly does the idea of time traveling imply ?
time traveling to the future (I write it like this because that future is relative to the people you leave when you travel, for you everything stays in the present) equates to witnessing an event - like a light bulb going off - twice meaning if we assume you and the light bulb are in the vicinity of a point A in space and you are close to that point A you'd have to travel a lot faster (for example 2 X) than the speed of light to be able to see again the light bulb going off from the vicinity of a point B gigantically distant from A (for example 2 light years away)
time traveling to the past is physically impossible

The trouble with the whole large ship thing is that mass increases exponentially with speed. So as the "large" ship approaches the speed of light, it's mass gets too much and the energy needed to propel said ridiculously heavy ship also approaches much more than can be contained or carried by the ship. It's physically impossible in such a way that the ship will not get to that nearest planet in 70 years.

Anyhoo, on the subject of time travel, Godel, the greatest logician to have ever lived, showed that it is possible, if Einstein was right. It's linked, somewhat, to the idea of a rotating universe. Poul Andersen's Tau Zero kind of deals with that idea, using a sort of rotational travel to achieve time travel.

My 2 pence.

Time travel can happen, because you are reading this post, everything is now in the past.

so I feel that's why you have dejavu as you will eventually reach back to your past once you go around the track.

My thing is with time travel, there is no way you can change your past as it will affect your future. So is the only benefit of time travel to just relieve your memories? :ohhh:
