From the 2014 season till now. Hes a legit top 5 nba player, has 2 mvps and 2 championships and a scoring title:whoo:. But prior to 2014 I remember everyone called him glass ankles and didnt think much of him outside of him having a nice 3.

How did he get so good:jbhmm:?

his ankle injuries, once known as career threatening, were a blessing in disguse

most guys steph size stay the exact same but he got way stronger and faster while he was hurt.

then monta got traded

then Klay emerged as a top 5 shooter of all time

The Yay
theres certainly a truth in Kerr making him better than he already was. Mark Jackson was using him as a conventional PG, but once Kerr got here he instituted ball movement and made less emphasis on holding the ball pick and rolls. Not to mention having Draymond as a facilitator in a lot of possessions. As a result, we saw that Steph became a lethal weapon from the 3 and is also elite off the ball with a lot of teamwork on screens to give him that clean shot off the catch.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Like others have said his ankles were bad, also you could see something was there, his first two years in the playoffs he went at the Spurs, then the next year he outplayed CP3 in a 7 game series. Draymond getting put into the starting lineup opened up their offense a lot too.

Another underrated aspect is that his form has changed, not a lot of people notice it but his shot is much quicker now, more grounded and the ball starts right in front of his face. Just look at his form from his rookie year, it was a lot slower which made it more difficult to get off, he had to alter it to become the player he is today.
