Brehs how do Barbershops make enough money to stay open

My question is why aren't more ppl learning to cut their OWN hair?

I ain't been inside a barbershop in damn near 5 years

I usually like my barbers. nikkas be like my friends and we give each other advice. Energize each other when the other down. Esp my barber now. Hes an empath like me. Plus if ima support a nikka its finna b my barber

These prices getting crazy

Barbers just like IG models now. Price gon up. You now have IG showing 100s of barbers who cut “celebrities” posting they cuts. They now think they worth $50 a cut

You nikkas paying only $30 less than me when I get my locs retwisted and that takes 3hrs

Bruh in Kenya i got haircuts for a dollar. The most I've paid is 3 dollars. Got my haircut..washed.. even had a masseuse who massaged my scalp and shoulders. When I heard the price i was like
I could get my haircut everyday. It's really cheap here

great thread. i always thought this. then i thought my barber had the ultimate hustle. He charges 30 for just a cut. he will do my beard for that price because im an og client but i end up tipping him 10 or so. 40 for a cut with deisgn or color enhancing. 50 and up w/ color lightening. house call for 200.

all of his cuts are scheduled for an hour. but all of the over head cost are w.e his house utilities are. he does this out of his basement/garage. he has a nice little set up and its only him. he has to be maaaking at least 100k and he also hhandles some steelers players and occasionally celebs if they ever come to pgh and need a cut.

These nikkas rent out buildings, be having 2 TVs with cable and all types of fancy equiptment, with mad lights on all day


But then only charge 20$ a haircut

On top of that during the weekdays during school hours they may go hours with only getting maybe 4 customers
