buying lunch or going to lunch for/with ur employees or bosses at the workplace could be a tricky thing...it can be taken in so many different ways
I guess it's an American thing though cuz my mom does the same thing. She cooks for my dad's friends who all have wives and it's not seen as anything. She even gives my dad extra food to share with his coworkers.

that wasn't the point. If his wife wanted to make him lunch, she should have been doing that. it shouldna took what I did for her to decide that.

Depends on if you were a threat or not, would you consider yourself one strictly off looks?

But I brought everyone in my department lunch. He wasn't special. And he always just eats in the cafeteria.

:yeshrug: Maybe he told his girl and she wasn't having that. But it could be as simple as him realizing that he could save alot of money buy not eating in the cafeteria everyday after getting lunch.

And ya pops coworkers be thinking in they mind: "Damn, I wish my wife did that from time to time"

Most people don't know what they missing out on until they get a glimpse of it.

You should just ask if you made him or his girlfriend uncomfortable by bringing food to the office, and you were curious. I'm pretty sure as a man he won't get upset or offend by the question and you wont have to be left wondering

You probably just saved their marriage by bringing him a plate your mom fixed. Most men hate eating out and would rather have something home cooked, even if it's just a sandwich. His wife got lazy and thought there is no other options for him and she got scared.

Do you and your supervisor still talk? If you do; your still good. But if all of a sudden his wife pops up at the job; it's time to throw them hands.

Op got me hungry; I wish somebody would fix me a plate:mjcry:

Somewhere tropic...
And he's been bringing lunch with him ever since:mjlol:
I guess his wife got the memo:sas1:

But on a serious note, certain things us women do, I'm like:what:
I brought everyone in my department a plate and I didn't even make it my mom did. I've been at this job for 3 months and this man never brought lunch. He was so excited that the food I brought him was enough for lunch and dinner:skip:
It's crazy to me or maybe I was just raised differently. Why would it take something like that for a woman to make lunch for her husband? Your supposed to love and cater to your husband so that should be automatic. Even when my mom was working, she would wake up at 4 in the morning to cook my dad breakfast and lunch (he goes to work at 5:30).
And this isn't the first time I witnessed this. When I worked at my internship, none of the coaches ever had lunch with them. These guys were making 6-7 figures and had stay at home wives but were eating Jimmy Johns for lunch:bryan:
I'm not one to try to dictate what other people do in their marriages so if they are happy and it works for them, so be it. I was just making an observation.:yeshrug:

Most black men find me attractive but I don't consider myself a dime so take it how you want it. Also he's a director, he doesn't have to pay for lunch if he doesn't want to.

Oh I really don't care, I'm just bored right now.
@Money Mase Yes we talk everyday, I'm his assistant. We have a cool and relaxed father daughter type of relationship. I know this is gonna sound harsh but he's actually the only black man I ever enjoyed working for. He is just all around respectable and a damn good boss.

So basically you are a threat. lol

:deadmanny:

That means his wife or girl was like:ufdup:

You dont have to be a dime to be a threat tho, just attractive personality wise. Especially if yall work together, he's probably mentioned you before and when his girl heard you brought food up she was like:patrice::huhldup:

Next day dude probably woke up and she was like "here you go hunny.":feedme:

edit: where you from @trilldealbaby ?

@trilldealbaby , has a man ever cooked you lunch or dinner?
Nope :mjcry:
@realdarkphoenix The wife is probably around my mom's age and I have a hard time believing that my mom would feel some type of way if a girl around my age brought my dad food. I guess I'm just basing things off of how I was raised.
And I'm originally from Haiti.

It's probably a cultural difference if you're right, though. :wengerknows:
