Goku delivering the classic "My name is Goku and I'm a saiyan...from earth" just isn't the same without the badass theme playing in the background. shyt ruins it

I agree. It sounds silly but it's the main reason I stopped copping the season sets. I just couldn't get past it. Then when I copped the toonami version on Amazon a couple years back I was hurt cause it was only the first season

Agreed. Without the signature Bruce Falconer music, DBZ is a lot less interesting to me.

That's one the reasons why I could never really mess with DBZ Kai.

FOH, it wasn't even the original score. FUNi was broke so they hired a cheap ass studio to play music nonstop in the dub so they could charge royalties for every second it's played.

Nah, that's actually one of the first non Ocean Dub episodes. The reason the voices sound different was because guys like Sean Schemmel, etc. were total amateurs at the time so they sounded horrible at first. Sabat went back and redubbed Vegeta tho.

Yeah I just realized I did that on the orange box sets lol. What bummed me out is no rock the dragon theme song

I thought I was in the minority with this opinion. I remember voicing this to a bunch of DBZ stans on a different forum and everyone threw my comment in the bushesThey said Falconer was generic, dub step, fart rock and the original Japanese music was the only way to enjoy the show properly. I wanted to fit inso I tried watching 2 or 3 episodes with the original music, trying to enjoy the "show properly" with the pure music. But I wasn't getting any goosebumps or excitement when action was happening. The music, and those voices, I just couldn't do it

Switched that shyt back to the U.S. broadcast and ate

That is another one of the reasons I haven't been able to get into the new stuff. The voices sound different, the music ain't hitting me, and even the animation looks weird...too clean.
