i walked in the cold and shyt started to ache
what do i expect from the dentist? I never had any teeth issues

Get a root canal. If you dont, the tooth will decay and gradually fall out and your breath will smell.

On a scale of 1 to 10...it was maybe a 6. Its uncomfortably...but it aint like u gonna scream.
You will want to go to a dentist as soon as possible. If you wait, you can run into the situation of having unbearable pain that will not end.

Anyway, the dentist will do an x-ray. Then, he/she will be able to see if you have a cavity. If you have one, they'll sedate you, drill it out and fill it.
If it's not a cavity, then they dentist will let you know.

You will be sedated. You can choose to have local anesthesia, this is when you are conscious, or general anesthesia, this is when you are unconscious.
It will not hurt. If it does, then they didn't do the anesthesia properly.
I've only had one cavity all my life and I cried when my dentist told me I had one.
As long as it's not to far along, you'll just have to have it drilled and filled. It's not painful just uncomfortable. Your mouth will be numbed but you'll still hear the sounds of the drill and all that.
