What can he do for me that will change my directly and immediately? Nothing
I don't expect to wake up the next day and my life to drastically change bc he's Twitter beefing with CNN.

But there will be consequences and long term effects to everything he does. We don't call the president the most influential person on the planet for no reason. His constant attacks on our institutions serve to cause confusion and distrust in the news media, law enforcement, etc. He elects cabinet members who are self serving and corrupt who actually know how to craft and affect policy to better serve themselves. His idiocy and ignorance has severely lowered our standing the the world and our International relationships are deteriorating. We may not see the effects of any of this for another 3+ years. So don't start this president doesn't do or affect anything bullshyt that edgy college freshmen love to bring up when discussing politics. I rather read about what he's up to then fukking rappers beefing over nonsense or celebrity babies.
I'm sayin, y'all can keep tabs on his minute by minute moves all you want.

but I ain't worried about that shyt, I can go days without hearing his name, and I wouldn't be affected one bit.

I'm sayin, y'all need to sop being so obsessed with any president or politician.

My very first statement said it was worth keeping up with what's he's doing, not obsessively watching his every move.

If everyone did what you and op suggested by completely ignoring his and other politicians actions, the travel ban would have been in effect day 1, his health care bill would have passed weeks ago, and Lord knows what else they would have done.

If your life is better and happier by ignoring it, good for you, but don't tell nikkas it's not important or doesn't affect our lives.

nah, I'm not sayin to ignore it, but you can't even pretend to deny that too many ppl are going all extra with this, and getting way to in to this.

Nothing wrong with staying up to date with what goes on, with the policies that are being talked about, or even the ppl that are being looked in to for certain positions.
all that stuff is fine and good to go. and in fact should be encouraged, I think its good for ppl to be have some understanding of the processes that happen, and how they happen.
but right now, there is a real unhealthy obsession with the president (just like there was a real unhealthy obsession with Obama, but many on the right).

and with that being said, the typical day to day of his life, the minute by minute dissection of every move he makes, is completely unnecessary (and I don't say that in regards just to Trump, I say that in regards to any president...or any person for that matter)
This TMZ culture that we live in is NOT healthy.

Eminem has a beard?? this is news?
Beyonce wore a purple dress today?
Kim Kardashian got a haircut?

I mean, every time ppl react over one of his tweets, you just keep feeding the fire. this is exactly what narcissistic ppl want.

they crave attention and will do and say whatever to get it.

why am i not surprised that the usual suspects are in here promoting apathy. a trump is not possible without apathy. republican domination is not possible without apathy.
someone doesn't have to be apathetic to not have the need to care about the minute to minute moves of celebrities.

staying in the know, and staying on the edge of your seats waiting for the next tweet, watchin 24/7 coverage, and having this dude on your mind are two completely different things.

I don't think ppl should stay detached from politics, but I do think ppl need to step back a bit from all the sensationalism.

quote from ^^ article said:
Donald Trump is depending on people’s fatigue. He is banking on your becoming overwhelmed by his never-ending antics. He is counting on his capacity to wear down the resistance by sheer force.

I've been doing that and only dipping into news in very small doses. Only way to keep your sanity :francis:

He does so much crazy shyt it's impossible to be outraged about all of it. I say save the outrage for the actual horrific policy he's trying to enact and leave the twitter drama alone.
Breh don't deprive yourself of the fukkery.

This is actually how Trump became president

Nope, non stop negative coverage of him made him become president. It galvanized his base and normalized his antics.

Best believe I am going to turn out in 2018 and 2020 cause I don't like him, his policies and his administration

but the day to day of his bs, no thank ya.

You must not have any social media accounts

nope breh :ahh:

I would agree with this if we were talking about a celebrity, rapper, athelete, etc whose antics have no impact on my life. But this is out president. I think it's worth it to at least keep up with what he's doing policy wise.

He is the celebrity in chief breh. :usure:
I saw the recent headlines is of him bodyslamming CNN:mjlol:. Week before harassing Mika Brzezinski.:francis:

Had no interest in investigating any of this any further.:hubie:

Im tellin ya, he is doing trollin shyt on purpose. Old Hollywood trick is to have the people talk about you by any means, you got a problem once they stop.

My rule when it comes to Thump is i want to know about policy and how it affects us Americans or anything he doesn't want to talk about first. If he talks shyt on Mika or CNN then :francis: It's pretty damn obvious he's doing whatever he can to take the heat away from the healthcare bill a.k.a " fuk yo healthcare where them tax cuts at :birdman:" I don't know why he's wasting his time covering for this tho ..He and Repugs already fukked it up from the jump so just pass it and say "fuk it yeah we scumbags "
