Brehs I seen a RABBIT in a NYC Park today

I was hanging in Bryant Park this afternoon and enjoying the nice weather when in the corner in my eye I see some kind of animal looking at me.. At first I thought it was a giant Rat but it actually a bunny Breh stood there and stared at me while I was fumbling to open to the camera app in my phone, was only able to get this pic before he ran into the bushes

How does a rabbit get into Bryant Park of all places Wild Rabbits are very rare in NYC. I even created a twitter page to and try and tag Manhattan Bird Alert but it wouldn't let me tag that page

I tagged the park on twitter to try and get a backstory on this. Finally caved in and joined twitter, only because Twitter doesn't let you lurk without an account anymore, this will probably be the only tweet I make

There is alot of bunnies in the north Bronx, Pelham bay/city island area. We even had wild coyotes one season running through. shyt was wild to see a Coyote on the fukking sidewalk

I don't know why but this thread made me kinda sad. There are kids growing up that have never seen any kind of wildlife other than rats, roaches, and pigeons.

I own one, but also where I live in TX they’re plentiful- I love that they replace rats and squirrels for my view.

I saw a gopher in a park in nyc the other day.

Never saw one before then.

Man kids growing up used to catch them.

They'd see a gopher hole and flood it using a water hose so the gopher would come up out.

I don't know why but this thread made me kinda sad. There are kids growing up that have never seen any kind of wildlife other than rats, roaches, and pigeons.

We have Zoos in NYC, each borough has one with the Bronx Zoo being the biggest and best one. I'm pretty sure every NYC kid has been to the Bronx Zoo at least once.
