Having a baby is always frightening. My uncle is 48 and established in his career having his first baby and he's terrified.

You said you already have a job, a house, and a car. You are already better off than a lot of parents with multiple kids. Your biggest challenge will be growing and maturing with the mother. It can be frightening at first, but once you get into it you'll realize it's a beautiful thing.
