I reached this point in like 09' when I was watching way too much shyt and in the end it felt like a chore to catch up to everything. So I just took a break and only watched some territory goodness and the feeling came back like :blessed:

I keep telling you to watch to good stuff from places like Big Japan and All Japan and you insist in watching everything, that's gonna be hard to keep up with no matter what. I couldn't even tell what was the last non-WWE show I saw in full in the last couple of years. Just watch what interests you :manny:

We might be in the best Era to watch wrestling, but it's really easy to get burned out, specially when the style that's used in most places is NOT suited to be seen as regularly as it's available right now.

I watched All Japan but still find myself using the show as background noise. Maybe it's the fact that I got to figure out who are these new dudes beyond Zeus, bodyguard, ole dude with the red hair and ulitmo dragon. As somebody stated in the thread, maybe I'm in my earlier stages of accepting the fact that I grew out of wrestling. It just seems like I watch it for some sort of past vice, instead of entertainment purposes. I probably end up being a causal about the shyt because meh...

I think you are doing too much homework, there's nothing wrong with being a casual and just watching good shyt :manny:

@Ace of the Metropolitan All of this. I cant watch WWE because it feels like its corporate run more than ever. Everything is a buzzword or business strategy. New Japan is starting to feel the same so im cutting down nd watching other stuff. Big Japan is my next thing and i started watching some old territory shyt (Young Terry Funk is :whoo:) I love wrestling but its easy to get burned out. Whenever some of it becomes a chore, its good to cut it out for a bit.

This.. Its kind of funny and sad the way cats are like :whoa:no no no just take a break get some fresh air and then come back. When the OP is clearly in the early stages of outgrowing this once unique art that has since been gutted by the WWE

Even tho I'm an advocate for taking a break, there was definitely a point where I stepped away for YEARS.

Maybe tune in for a couple PPV's randomly, but keeping up year round? fukk it. I left around 07 and came back when Seth was heating up solo dolo, so I missed AJ Lee, The Shield run, DB's moments, CM Punk etc.(did catch the pipe bomb on youtube after it happened) I've caught up on most of the stuff E fans hold in high regard but I'm not pressed on the rest. The E is a mainly weak product with stand-out moments sprinkled in, so if you leave completely right now you won't be missing too much, tho I do believe Y2J's last E run, Miz's last 2 years and New Day's last 2 years are something every E fan should appreciate right now because they've been bright spots in each division they've touched, and Braun is on his way to god level

Sounds like me. Take a break. You'll be back. I keep up with podcasts weekly. I haven't watched Raw or SD in months lol. I'm tuning in to the 25th Anniversary Raw and then I'll watch Rumble and that'll be it until WM season really picks up. That's my routine every year now. I watch during Mania season and I'll tune out until probably Summerslam.

All that kiddie shyt is what makes wrestling wrestling though:wow:. fukkery is a huge point with wrestling along with promos and so forth. I thrived for that shyt. A dude getting interviewed having a conniption about the devious shyt they want to do to their opponent :demonic:. You want dudes to get to fighting, watch MMA:mjlol:.

Now WWE I understand the frustration because wtf:francis:...

Cut back and pick which few feds to follow. I mean I basically just watch NXT and WWE PPvs, and Lucha Underground. I'll watch Raw/SD on hulu if I'm bored one day, but yeah. Just cut back to the essentials. I honestly don't know how some people watch all that indie shyt.
The indies is where its at tbh.

damn, this thread is depressing, probably because I'm at that point too. Rarely does anything feel special anymore. Nothing gets a chance to breathe, not the product, not the audience. It's what was behind my criminally underrated thread on trimming the fat in WWE's schedule.

Been over it for a few years now, but lowkey want to get back into. Everytime I even try and put a match on even a classic I just take it off within 5 mins

I feel you. I didn't watch Smackdown yesterday because I wasn't really interested. I still haven't finished Wrestle Kingdom yet. Haven't seen the Omega/Jericho match and the Okada match yet. I don't have a strong desire to watch them. I'll stick around TSC and do the watch parties but my heart isn't in to the product like it used to be. It's ironic because we have so much access to different promotions around the world thanks to youtube, daily motion, streaming, etc but the i'm kind of indifferent.
