Yup. I think that even Snowden mentioned that too. Something along the lines of once you begin using that site you pretty much become a suspect.

NSA likely targets anybody who's 'Tor-curious' - CNET
NSA Targets the Privacy-Conscious for Surveillance - Schneier on Security
Here's an excerpt on that service, endorsed by the big boys themselves as being a highly-secure and completely anonymous service with absolutely no competition. :skip:

An extract of a Top Secret appraisal by the National Security Agency (NSA) characterized Tor as "the King of high-secure, low-latency Internet anonymity" with "no contenders for the throne in waiting",[9] and the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology deemed it, with approximately 2.5 million users daily "by far the most popular anonymous internet communication system." [10] Furthermore, a July 2015 NATO analysis opines that "the use of anonymisation technologies such as Tor will continue to thrive. Despite the attention that Tor has received worldwide, the technical and legal questions surrounding it remain relatively unexplored." [11]

They're pretty much telling you, "Go ahead. :mjpls: Use it. :mjpls: It's completely secure and anonymous and even we can't touch it. It's the only one you should be using. Don't you see how many people are using it? Join in on the fun.:mjpls:.

But look at this:

Look who has allegedly funded this:

Almost everyone involved in developing Tor was (or is) funded by the US government

I would say DO NOT get involved in this. It's more trouble than its worth. There's more harm than good. Nothing good can come out of it. As a matter of fact, everyone on this site might have been put on some sort of list based on the number of times we have used those keywords in this thread that they search for.

I remember looking through the dark web and thinking even back them most of this shyt was scams.
The scams are always gonna be there. Hasn't gotten a whole lot better in that regard, always gotta be on your Ps and Qs

Darknet sucks right now, too many DDOS attacks killed all the good sites.

I think Dread is back active, but all the good markets are gone/down.

More recently a lot of the market guys have been bowing out gracefully too before the feds come for them.

Dudes like Joker from Jokerstash easily cleared 100s of millions during his run, then he just posts a retirement letter saying “money doesn’t buy happiness and I’m gonna go enjoy my life, it was good doing business with you guys.”
