He needed his ass kicked if he said that.now this c00n is in there doing shots like "i dunno what was wrong with that, ******.". smh.

Yup you's a fool, either that or your exposure to classic rap music is very limited.
I had a 9 year old kid tell me old school stuff (90's 2000's is old school now) was much better than this crap they'r playing on the radio. Even if you enjoy the "pimping and violence" stuff it was done much better back then. Get you some UGK, Dogpound, Mob Deep, No limit, Cash Money and educate yourself youngin.
I listen to and enjoy some new shyt too. But this statement is a far cry fromi lot of shyt is thrown back in rap today. what more can i say, i wouldn't be here today if the old school didn't pave the way. but let's be real...i'm not an idiot for enjoying modern music. i just prefer to be up on the new shyt. it's not a crime.

That dude sounds like a coli nikkaI have basically put myself in a position where I have to beat up this c00n who was talking shyt about me.
We were talking after a show about rap music and he asked me why i like king louie and other modern rap artists. I said i can relate to the music. it's cartharsis. I used to sell hoes and he was like "are you about that life, tho?" and I said fukk no I'm not about it. I regret it. My friend flipped me on because my fam was in a bind. He kept pressing the pimpin questions until i finally said, sarcastically "no, im not about it.". i don't like talking about that shyt in front of white people. at all.
Then he proceeded to tell me I'm a fool because I like the rap music that is out nowadays. Dude was basically yelling at me calling me ignorant cuz I like bronson and gibbs and saying i'm a bullshyt 'nicki minaj concert' fan. This whole thing went down in front of like 12 white people, we're the only blacks. When I tried to tell him he was wrong, this c00n wouldn't even look me in the eye so, unfortunately, I started getting heated. Staff asked me to leave and I called them fakkits and told that c00n he got one coming. And I stand by that. Am I wrong for wanting to slide this nikka?
I mean this nikka was straight up yelling calling me an idiot and then tried to act like i was silly for being mad about it. maybe i should be the bigger man but don't fukking insult me and make a scene because i have an opinion and then try to flip the script.
if it is ten years before i see him again, i dont care, i'm fukking him up. y'all know what im talking about.
Wait you do stand-up too?im 26. but this nikka had me mad as fukk in front of a bunch of people that could potentially book me. that's part of the reason why im so pissed. i hope they realize that HE was the one instigating shyt and don't hold it against me. fakkit is fukking with my money over this c00n shyt. meanwhile i'm potentially looking stupid because i'm 'keeping it real'. it's hurting my soul right now because i know that i wasn't in the wrong as far as my ethics. i just shouldnt have blown up and gotten kicked out the venue.
now this c00n is in there doing shots like "i dunno what was wrong with that, ******.". smh.
these comedians need to know when to drop the act. especially since i seent this nikka and he's a jay pharoah clone.
and also fukk that nikka
I listen to and enjoy some new shyt too. But this statement is a far cry from
"This is the best era in rap"

I've been doing it since I was 15 I'm 20 now, my next question was actually how much you get paidi agree. i think the early 90s was the GOAT era but what the fukk do I look like bumping that shyt like it reps me. I'm living in the moment and rocking with my era of music. that's all i was saying. MY PERSONAL FAVORITE era of rap is the rap right now. i'm in my mid 20s and new nikkas are talking about the type of shyt i do.
i only give advice to folks that have been doing stand up for more than a year.
but i'll share the best advice i've received so far:
don't take advice from a comedian unless they get paid. and while it's only a little bit, i do get paid.

who is that kid's parents?a 9 year old listening to rap though???who is that kid's parents?

"paid"you've been in the game longer than me. lol. how much are you getting paid?
edit: let's just say it like katt did: it's on some almost a ho.
"paid"

in all seriousness when I do get paid it's only at two places I performed at regularly, one was a straight comedy club the other was The Vortex in Atlanta and they gave me 200 once for a 45 minute set the last time I was there. They used to just give me a lot of food for it. I only got that because I built a relationship with those people at those places and I was recognized in that area. If I go outside my usual area I don't get squat, I tried to perform for my college but they didn't want to pay me and I did one at a club near my college town and just got free meals. I haven't been serious about this as a career yet though
This shyt is a struggle, so much of it is about networking and I'm just not that social butterfly kind of person. I got a lot of respect for comics out here making a living doing stand up thoughSo u get the standard rate.
This is an ill grind.
I can't think of a harder job I've ever hadAt this point im over respecting those dudes. Some are cool, many are c*nts. I realize now it's not about being funny at all. This shyt is a struggle, so much of it is about networking and I'm just not that social butterfly kind of person.
