Nah, I've just started an engineering degree last year. I've been a part time social worker before that for the Muslim community in Australia because I speak Arabic
Ya haiwan listen ur rents bro or bounce. I been doing non-muslim down low until i moved out for uni and its blessing. I know what u been through esp those ass beating days whenever they smelt that liqour off ur breath. No matter how sober i acted my mom esp knew. I cant count how many times i got kicked out of the crib just for sneaking in a bytch or coming home drunk

@isthisreallife

I'm 20 years old, and I'm kinda going through the same situation as you. I'm not a Muslim, more like christian (not a devoted but I do try to follow their ways). Moms wanted me to be like my uncle, but I don't want to fellow his path to success. Couldn't bring a girl, friends in her household. Me and my moms don't have a good relationship, but I still love and respect her. Which is why I moved out and now I'm living with my older cousin that's like a brother to me. Point is you are still young and ambitious. It's either u respect your parents rules or dip to another place to build your self.

But yeah bro you'll manage mane. I advice you to finish school, and save some money at the same time. When it's time for you to dip, then you dip. But plan ahead first.

And you live in Australia right? You can bang your girl behind the bushes... :pachaha:

Just giving u some advice as a youngin like u. Good luck bro.... :salute:

What part of the game is this? :dwillhuh:

You can't deal with the climate anymore and they can't deal with you ... I thought the plan was always to move out by any means necessary. I don't understand this at all.

Its different under a immigrant family household. Our parents arent the type for us to just let us bounce unless we finish school and got married.

You're from Harare :leon:

so wait, when did you have a change of heart? were you around the muslim community in Australia during your teens?
I think when I was going to a private islamic school I kind of started to hate the religion. Islamic schools are really restrictive and should be banned, there should only be Saturday madrasas. The school felt like a mini Saudi Arabia. Girls and boys sat seperately , we had designated males and female areas, girls had to wear the long Niqab. Boys couldn't listen to music. We couldn't learn about evolution , music, dance, the arts. Islamic lessons replaced sports . I didn't like it at all. I think the final straw was when a gay mentally ill kid at my class got the exorcist treatment from the shiekh, the guy clearly had an underlying mental illness but they treated him as if he was possessed by the jinn/evil spirits. The guy nearly killed himself afterwards.

But of course we have to respect our parents discussion though thats the thing. You dont want to give your parents hard times. Unless they agree for you to leave you should obey there rules.

Like i said some peoples cultures are different from others like western families.

Yeah, just say yall are just not about that life. :pachaha: I've known plenty of people from immigrant homes who did what they had to and let everyone else deal with the aftermath.

:to: Damn. Sorry to hear that. Stuff like that is all too common. And it's definitely Saudi influenced as that view has been exported with the oil money.

Unfortunately BS like that turns people away. Insha'Allah I hope one day you can turn back to the deen.

In the mean time you should respect your parents rules
