I just hope its on some PS9 shyt. I don't anticipate that PS5/SnitchBox2 gen, but def the one after should atleast begin some matrix type, complete immersion system.

I dont see things changing too much except being more interactive and faster.

Only one thing is for certain

Court will still be trolling

Nope.... That Ouya shyt was a warning, but Google bout to come through.... First they will destroy PS. Xbots will rejoice, Sony Stan's will feel lost and defeated..... Some will come home to MS, others will submit to the G.

But then, they'll turn their attention to Xbox, then Apple with drop something and it will be WW3.

Apple will win

I doubt it will be much different. Better graphics is a given. I see things being more user friendly and connected. we will have more options when apple and Google will join the fray and compete. I see gaming systems more integrated with everything else, like TVs, smartphones, tablets, etc. more connected mobile gaming like the ps3 and vita. I also see more data and storage capabilities. maybe even 1 tb storage. my ps3 has 500gb so that's not unreasonable. I also think it would be more digital and less discs. with the ability to trade games among friends and systems. one thing I do want to see created soon, unless it's already out there, is a video game rental system that's digital. sort of like game fly. but in the system. like sure you can use game fly and wait for the disc and have to send it back, but what if you can download it to your system then have to upload it back to their servers in order to get the next game. digital is cheaper and cost less for the companies in manufacturing cost. I see that being the norm in a few years. and of course courtdog will still be trying to convince us that the 20th anniversary edition of PS+ isn't up to par with even today's Xbox standards.

In 20 years, you'll be able to buy a $500 console that can compute as fast as the fastest supercomputer of today. That means 50 petaflops and hundreds of terabytes of RAM. If you find that hard to believe just remember that we've already done that in the last 20 years. In 1996, the worlds fastest supercomputer was doing 1 teraflop for millions of dollars. Now the PS4 can do 1.8 teraflops for $400. Computing power advances by a factor of 1000 every 10 years and by a factor of a million every 20.

By 2030, there should be more than enough computing power to render photorealistic graphics that are INDISTINGUISHABLE from real life.

Also by the mid-2030s, nanotech should be mainstream. If thats the case then we're talking about full immersion virtual reality AKA being jacked into the Matrix.

The power of course will be upped. The question is will we get new and fresh experiences? As consumers we tend to shyt on anybody trying something different :manny:

The tech hasn't been available till now for actual VR gaming. Graphics we're that good. And the resolution and wide field of view screens haven't been there. They are here now, which is why this generation will be the last one playing on TV.

VR gaming will take over from here on out. Be glad you're living to see the greatest technological era in human history. We'll have full immersion virtual reality in 20 years and it will change life on earth forever. It'll be the start of a new way of living.

I'm confident in 50 years, no human will actually live in the real world. Virtual worlds will be so much better, that the real world will be completely left behind. Why live in the real world as a mere human, when you can be a GOD in a world you create? :ohlawd:

 reminds me of fallout 3 & those pods that would take you to this perfect neighborhood but it was all a virtual simulation

the holy grail is creating virtual reality that is INDISTINGUISHABLE from reality......that means creating the Matrix.......and we'll have the technology in 20 years to do it

massive computing power PLUS nanobots that connect to the neurons and shut off real sensory data while feeding artificial electrical pulses will be the way to get it done

both these technologies look like they'll be ready by the mid-2030s

read some of the works from Ray Kurzweil if you are skeptical......he's been right so far.......and I've kept up with alot of the current research and its lining up with his projections
