The way compromises works is you scan sites for specific vulnerabilities, then exploit. ATLNS is just a blog (WordPress I think), so security more than likely isn't that great. It's an easy target. Probably something as simple as using wpscan.

They provably did go after big sites like the whitehouse or Facebook, but those sites have dedicated security teams who stay on top of that shyt.
