I think the coverage of Kurt Cobain's death was the first thing I really remember watching on MTV besides Beavis & Butthead/Liquid Television. I remember seeing all of the people gathered at that candle vigil and Courtney Love () reading his suicide note to the crowd. That was the first time in my life that I remember questioning what causes someone to commit suicide and the cause/effect of drugs (and later down the road: toxic relationships.)
