Probably not on a federal level, but at the city and state level I can see the GOP making a killing politically. Same way they use the myth of CRT to rally their base, or turned Kyle Rittenhouse into a hero, these smash and grabs will be just as useful politically.
Yup watch them use this to win midterms by claiming democrats are soft on crime

and continue for have your shyt stolen "casually". Either way, it really don't bother me. :pachaha:I'm just offering suggestions. Buying jewelry is kind of silly shyt to me anyway.

They make far more in legit sales than they lose with random smash and grabs of insured merchandise. Your “solution” would just drive down legit sales.

You’d have been better off saying they only allow try ons in the back and just have screens up front showing the merchandise. LMAO @ thinking anyone would want to try on replica jewelry (never mind the administrative issue of getting replicas for your whole, ever changing, inventory). It was just a silly suggestion breh :mjlol:

Man Takes Home Fake Display Earrings Instead of Real, $4,000 Ones

A diamond mix-up is a rare occasion with jewelers, according to a local San Diego jewelry appraiser, but a Carlsbad, California, Costco customer got caught up in a mistake he never would have known about had the store not given him a call.

“They looked awesome,” said Jeff Ladman about a pair of $4,300, 1-and-a-half carat diamond earrings he bought for his wife. Ladman wanted to show her how much he appreciated all she does for him and their triplet sons who he said are all on the Autism spectrum.

Ladman said some family money came to him earlier in the year, and he wanted to spend it on his wife. He went to Costco in May and bought the earrings right out of the display counter.

“I had no idea that they were not real in the display case anyway,” said Ladman. Costco called Ladman on Tuesday and told him they sold him fake diamond earrings by mistake. Ladman said a Costco representative told him the error was discovered during an audit.

“They said they made a mistake and we want to make it right. In fact, that they were the fake display ones, and they had the real ones,” he said.

Ladman went over with his wife’s fake earrings that she had been wearing every day for two months and was given a new appraisal and the real earrings. He said afterwards he went and got them appraised by an outside appraisal as well, just to confirm they were real this time.

At first he said he was angry, but after some time felt differently.

“It’s just a mistake, I make them four or five times a day, more if you talk to my wife,” Ladman laughed. “Having triplets teaches you to be patient and to breathe, I thought it was super cool.”

Jeff said the purchase was rare for him and substantial for their family. His wife works for San Diego County’s North Coastal and North Inland Administration Child Protective Services and he works part-time with the Encinitas Unified School District Special Education Parent Counsel and with the North County Consortium on Special Education. Ladman also spends time at home with his three boys, who are all 7-and-a-half-years-old.

“I just wanted to do something nice for my wife because she has to put up with me and the boys,’ he said.

An outside appraiser said if you are shopping for diamonds, it is best to get a second appraisal, and also ask the jeweller for a microscope to look at the real diamonds for inclusions, and some color, and to make sure the facets are hard. Whereas, the appraiser said fake diamonds are created in a lab and will not have inclusions or color, and will have soft facets. Also, after a year a two, the fake diamonds show wear and tear.

unless you're some expert with your own personal diamond microscope, you not even gonna know the real and fake. And especially if you're buying MALL JEWELRY you're not in any place to be talking about displays vs real shyt. :mjlol:

these fakkit thiefs ain't helping shyt tho they giving them plenty material to work with...
yeah but you're always going to have people that steal shyt...

The problem here is that they are correlating every situation of crime that happens with a black person, to be a problem with black people overall.

Why else would you make a joke associating this in some weird way with Ahmaud Arbury? they have nothing to do with one another...the only common theme is these kids might be black (I guess?), and that's enough for them.

because think about it...what exactly are you trying to imply here? That liberals won't say this was a crime because they are black? That's alittle inaccurate. Or...do they want liberals to admit there is a "problem" with black people? because that's the only thing I see here

Lil Baby’s Jeweler Admits To Selling Him Fake Patek Philippe Watch by Mistake

Lil Baby‘s jeweler has officially admitted to selling him a fake Patek Philippe watch, shortly after after the rapper took to social media to call out his jeweler for finessing him to buy a $400K USD Patek.

Over the weekend, Rafaello and Co. released a statement to XXL Magazine, offering their perspective on the situation. Though the company has fessed up and has apologized, their explanation reveals that their due diligence has not been up to par. The statement reads as follows.

“We do stand on our name just like he does that’s why today he got those four rings for free and his money back because we didn’t do our homework on the watch and we take full responsibility for that. But it didn’t happen intentionally and he knows that for a fact. Everyone that knows me knows that I don’t play games when it comes to my brand and especially my client’s brands.

I personally want to apologize to @lilbaby for not doing my due diligence when selling him the Patek watch. I should have inspected the watch after purchasing it from the dealer. I take full responsibility for not doing my job properly. I personally would NEVER knowingly sell him or anyone else anything that is not 100% authentic. I have known @libaby for a while and there is nothing fake about him – especially his jewelry and watches. I want to personally apologize to Lil Baby for what has transpired. Rafaello & Co. took immediate action to rectify this. We worked directly with Lil Baby to refunded him in full and have gifted him rings as a token of our sincere apologies.

We pride ourselves in being an honest business and will take great care to make sure nothing like this ever happens again. To all of our customers thank you for your business over the years and we look forward to continuing to provide the best jewelry and watches in the industry.”

In a now-deleted post on Instagram, Lil Baby shared the fake wrist piece and called out the jeweler in the caption, “Now @rafaelloandco y’all Kno better then to sell ME of all people a FAKE Or anything that could be called a FAKE! I stand on my name the same way y’all should! Ain’t no such thing as a mistake when that money involved!! Don’t Fuccin Play Wit me Cause when I’m on that I’m on that #ansameforyoup*ssyassn*ggas #dontplaywitbaby.”

In other watch news, Judith Leiber is now selling iced-out iconic Timex watches in rainbow Swarovski crystals.

even jewelers can't tell when their own shyt is fake. :mjlol:

like i said, why don't they have fake shyt out in the front to try on, then keep the real shyt in the back?:skip:

Can we not resort to saying dumbshyt.

Nonsense like this has been going on for decades
No it hasn’t fool, not to this degree

this shyt is coordinated and spreads almost purely from social media. The Nordstrom robbery was literally planned on FB and snap and about 90 people showed up :stopitslime:

Don’t be stupid, these smash and grabs are gaining popularity at a crazy rate solely because of social media. It was never ever this bad before

if I'm a rapper, instead of blowing my starter kit/advance money on real jewels, why not get the fake joints. everyone assumes they are real anyways, so who cares.

and while ur in the heat of the moment of faking it, you can buy some of that prop money they use on movies. I saw some of that shyt being sold on FB marketplace recently. it was under $10 for like 100K worth of fake money. so you can put a real hundred on the top and stunt on the gram with double money phones if you like :win:

Here we go.

Trump calls for National Guard to help stop 'smash-and-grab' looting: 'It is all not even believable' (msn.com)

Former President Donald Trump called for states to deploy the National Guard to help deal with rampant retail looting, or "smash-and-grab" incidents, in a Tuesday statement.
Trump said that if the Democratic politicians in charge of cities where the mass lootings are taking place don't take action, the National Guard "must be called out."

“If Democrats don’t immediately stop smash-and-grab robberies, which are taking place in their cities, the National Guard must be called out. There has never been such a thing that has happened in our Country," Trump said in the statement. "Large numbers of stores are leaving San Francisco and other cities. Some chains are closing most of their stores, it is all not even believable.”
