TULSA, Okla. — The Tulsa Police Department arrested a man accused of robbing a south Tulsa liquor store with an antique gun on Friday night.
Officers responded to an armed robbery at Primo's Wine and Spirits near East 91st Street and South Yale Avenue around 8:45 p.m.
The store reported that a man wearing a red hoodie and pajama pants entered and tried to make a purchase but was denied because he did not have his ID.
The man returned a few minutes later and pulled out what employees described as an "old-timey musket." Police said the man pointed the gun at employees and demanded cash and their IDs.
Around 3:25 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to the QuikTrip near East 91st Street and South Yale Avenue after it was reported that the suspect from the armed robbery was seen in the shopping center north of the store.
Police said officers searched the area and caught the suspect, identified as 24-year-old Dyllon Redfern.
Redfern was arrested for first degree robbery.
Police said the gun is likely from the mid-1800s and is a single-shot percussion derringer.\
