Brehs, let's examine Bill Bellicheck "the genius" and his drafts 2008-2014

Thats a pretty generous list.

Chung? Vereen? Ridley? Dennard? Dobson? Ryan? Slater? Collins? Those are all pretty average picks.

The best two are gronk and hern and herns done and gronk i just dont think his body will hold up.

Mayo and mccourty are decent. Mccourtys worth gets exaggerated because of his rookie season. He struggled at corner after that.

Pretty marginal.


And really my point more so is that the media ball washes him so much.

Mayo is a damn good player, there's a reason he's made multiple Pro Bowls. And yes McCourty did struggle at corner after his rookie year, but he hasn't played corner since the 1st half of the 2012 season. And he's been fantastic since the move to safety. Guy was all pro last year. McCourty is a top 5 free safety.

I'll agree that Belichick has outsmarted himself over the last few years but Mayo & McCourty are better than just "decent"

Afc east sucks, they get preferrential treatment by refs and always seem to have cake schedules.



And they have brady one of the goat qbs.

Over the last few years a ton of people have been taking shots at the "genius" label he had attained, and rightfully so. But to take it further and shyt on his drafting, you're gonna have to compare him to his peers. I've yet to see anyone really do that.

I mean remember when they signed a washed up albert haynesworth and a washed up ocho cinco? Media was talking about those like it was the signings of the century.

Over the last few years a ton of people have been taking shots at the "genius" label he had attained, and rightfully so. But to take it further and shyt on his drafting, you're gonna have to compare him to his peers. I've yet to see anyone really do that.

Theres a reason brady is out there playing with a jets like offense his name is bill.

Trading mankins was dumb. I know he had struggles but damn he was the leader of the line. They look worse, playing magical chairs and shyt.

They both were signed to the minimum and were no risk. The Pats haven't hit on as many draft picks as they used to but very few GMs would have acquired so many productive players never having a top 10 pick (only trading up for Mayo). Now belichicks FA decisions have been terrible. Let's see the Jets drafts since 08.

I agree about the media but hey, thats the consequence/perk of being a winning coach...they're gonna get slobbed.

I think the whole "genius" thing comes from him drafting Brady and guys like Edelman so low in the draft and generally making good use of the Pats low position in basically every draft. Don't agree with the label but there is some merit there.

One thing you can't front on tho, is that his 1st-2nd round picks are usually on point.
