That NYC basement sound, Menelik (the legend, the myth) is about to come out with something again,here is the first taste from Juan Excelsior lp.

Best thing I could compare it to, it is that NY stunting & flossing with skill & sophistication with that DITC/Pete Rock sound. If you couldn't tell I think Menelik is one of the masters of this style. +20 Years in the game....He was on Rawkus label with the original signings of Blackstar,Company Flow,Sir Menelik.

With his new mixtape, “The Other Side,” due out next week, the Prince George’s County native would like to make a prediction: “I think it’s going to be one of the best projects to come out of the city. Ever.”

Now comes the experience part. This summer, he’s out on the road as part of a starry package tour featuring Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, Kevin Gates and DJ Drama, who recently invited LyQuin to appear alongside Chris Brown and Skeme on their collaborative single, “Wishing.” It’s brash for a slow jam, but instead of rapping his verse, LyQuin sings. Not a big deal, really — he says he never saw much of a difference between the two. “Somebody might give me a beat that I should be rapping on, and I might start singing to it, or vice versa,” he says. “It’s instinct.”

When Drama’s invitation to collaborate landed in his inbox, LyQuin’s first instinct told him to get himself out of bed. He had been laid out with the flu, but says he instantly started feeling better once he started reading the email: “I was like, ‘I gotta get to 7-Eleven, rack up on cough drops and hot tea, and get to work!’ ”

Yea, he has a lot of names for some reason. He posted some photos where he was in parking lot garage with the foreign bikes. What kind of operation is Menelik running? Something tells me menelik on some laundering next level shyt He could be talking heavy gambino shyt & at the same time be on that space ranger shyt on the b side. Never stable with release dates.

Serious flow and energy:
