I like Cuban, haven't tried a Peruvian. The Jamaican flanker has the wrong notes on fragrantica.
I'm not buying full bottles, so redundancy is not really a concern. The idea that JT smells like Red Tobacco worries me.

17 for 2 is better, but I dislike Red Tobacco a lot. But I dunno.
That said I started getting "high dollar" decants because I already grabbed a good chunk of every popular fragrance out there, which tend to be cheap. And that lead to popular niche, and then further down the distribution curve... And even then I barely scratch the surface of what is out there

Just saw that review and if that Jamaican Tobacco is anything like Red Tobacco I'm not interested. Argos- Triumph of Bacchus is the perfected version of that DNA IMO

You prefer scent split over decantx?
For me yes. I prefer Scent Split b/c they send stuff out lightning fast (2-3 days max) and their selection is in a league of its own. Decant X is cool but their selection is limited also I hate their style of decants along with Micro Perfumes. I hate Maxaroma decants with a passion. Mines always came with no labels on the decants and a few of them leaked out completely.You prefer scent split over decantx?

Like all Byredo scents, you pay a lot for very little performance.
And that would be all Kool and the Gang, if the scent itself was out of this world.
Instead, its a light sweet citrus on the top, the aforementioned mandarin, with a tobacco-ish base? motif?
As far as tobacco scents go, it's fine. Not great like Tobacconist/Smoky Tobacco/Tobacco Vanille, but not horrid like Red Tobacco.
This was one of those high dollar decants that I put off for YEARS, before Ifinally ran out of things to buy curiosity finally took hold.
I only got 2 mls of this, and I think evaporation really did a number on it. 2mls should be about 21 days of wear, but at best I've worn this one other time. It's got maybe one more day in it...

SOTD - Palmer's Cocoa Butter
I've used Scentsplit, DecantX, TwistedLily and a couple others.
Decantx has too many fire bottles sold out, with no idea when they'll restock and they ship after a couple weeks.
TwistedLilly is great, much better.
Their decants are in nice, proper professional bottles within a nice card and proper labeling. Some are actually from the producers.
I paid $5.00 for 2ML decants, some were $9.00 but they had a great selection.
The stuff that’s on both are usually cheaper at Decantx, at least the few I looked up.
Also that black owned brand that sell Sin Santo and Sage, Whiskey Rose etc has a sale this week for 25% off
