My dumbass left the keys in the car to go grab a shovel on Christmas Eve and when I came back my whip was gone. Literally came onto my drive way and took the shyt.

I keep reading different answers that comprehensive covers a stolen vehicle even if keys are left unless the insurance company thinks you purposefully had the car stolen. But other sites say it’s not covered.

thoughts brehs? :lupe:

Context, I'm a insurance adjuster.

They gonna first take a statement from you.
Confirm of facts of loss.
Comp coverage covers theft.
They most likely going to have the special investigation rep look into your vehicle and claim history to see if there is any history or foul play.
They gonna ask for a bunch of records, phone records, and look into your financial records to see if you have any red flags to see if you have a motive to file a fraudulent claim for a pay out.
Once that's completed they gonna set it up for a total loss.

Did you file a police report? If not, do so now.

They then gonna work with the police officer to try to locate your vehicle .
