The crazy thing about the space race is we had a rival who had every incentive in the world to say that the moon landing was fake. They were perfectly capable of verifying it, at least for the sake of propaganda.


So i highly doubt tgat the Soviets would not have capitalized on telling the world the moon landing was fake
