I wanted one. Was looking at the moto360 and iWatch, but they seem superfluous. I don't need one, but I want one. It's just so easy to grab into my pocket and get my phone. A watch that does minimal tasks, seems kinda worthless to me :manny:

These smart watches need to do more than just phone notification. It's more of hassle to read your notification on a small screen than just pulling out of your phone. They need to do stuff that your phone cant do.

I had an Apple Watch for a couple weeks. It wasn't worth having. It was redundant to the features on my phone. It's basically a second screen to use apps you can just use on the phone itself and the apps you use on the watch are inferior to the ones on the phone.

I still have my Fitbit Surge as an activity tracker. It relays my text messages and calls also.

i still have my first gen ms band, which is kind of a beast compared to these android watches. they are missing more than they have, that shyt is crazy to me. they are like a remote control for your phone lol.

i havent researched apple watch but the ms band, even the first one is the best thing you can get for the money imo.

The MS Band is primarily a fitness tracker like the Fitbit Surge. You might as well get a full blown smartwatch if you have to suffer through 2 day battery life though.

Now that I think about it.

I might just wait until Black Friday or even as late as the holidays to pick one up. Hoping they're like $100 off :mjlol:

yea. i had a chance to use a huawei watch for a day. i finally realized the split between the smartwatch and the fitness devices.
the later are way more spec'd out and cheaper.
its pretty shameful, i saw a $90 fitness band that did more than the android joints

Anybody own a gear s2? I'm interested in it and just received the basic model. Looking to change it for the 3g model. Anyone have any issues or concerns or anything positive to say on it. I'm looking to get it thru a carrier. Preferably Verizon since Sprint (:pacspit:) looks to not offer it and sucks as a network anyways. Maybe get it when the 7 drops soon.

I got the Samsung Gear S2.
What i like abou it:
I can select what apps i can be notified
Ease of use
Don't need my phone of course; the bezel makes a satisifying click when you rotate
I can install apps from my phone onto the watch via 802.11 or bluetooth

what i don't like about it:
i can't use it talk on the phone with. i can call and recieve calls, but i can't converse using it (you have to buy the 3G version if you want to do that).
It has about 2 days of battery life, it'd be nice if it was 3
S voice is kind of shakey; the work around is talking slowly like a robot and it works well, it's no where near fluent as my note 4

verdict:
i'm pleased that i have it and i don't regret it.
