I'm a pro gun guy, but i don't trust children to correctly make random mundane choices much less life or death ones. Plus as we've seen with the one dude who shoot up a school and his parents got prosecuted too, i could also get into trouble myself if they make the wrong decision. And that can happen with anyone you give a gun to, So my rule is my guns my hands only. You wanna mess with guns you gotta cop your own first. if me operating as the sole armed security for our home isn't enough, then i would consider moving.

not much of a gun person but i also dont live in an open carry state nor the US (im Canadian)
but i always feel cringe whenever people suggest that they have a firearm and also have children. Like, I get you have reasoning for keeping your gun, its just tha kids are extremely curious and even I remember finding some shyt I wasnt suppose to find as a youngin. Then again, I assume folks can also have a safe or something
