Nah, you got it wrong. Disco was before hip hop. You are referring to disco once it got huge. Before that disco was a NYC older black crowd type of thing. There were still gays, whites, and drug heads involved, but it wasn't like it was once studio 54, and others like it took over.

I'm sure @IllmaticDelta will teach you more. I don't feel like arguing to prove a point, only to still be ignored. Happens a lot here.
