This is a wild guess....but I have a feeling Thanos shows up at the end of "Avengers 2". The Comic-Con footage showed them all laying on the ground, looking dead, with Tony Stark looking like with Captain America's shield broken.

And we go a shot of Captain America's shield — shattered to fragments. We pull back, and all of the Avengers are lying prone, apparently dead, in the rubble. Tony is leaning over them, and he looks totally horrified and ashamed.

The increasingly dark teaser wraps up with a haunting shot of Tony waking up on what looks like a battlefield (or possibly Thanos's tomb), looking over in horror at Captain America's broken shield, and the bodies of all five other Avengers. Since Scarlet Witch has the power to warp reality, this is almost certainly an illusion or a dream sequence, or a really mean April Fool's joke.

The footage had a bit of a tag that should raise some eyebrows. After it cuts to black, it fades up on Cap's shield broken in two. A distressed Tony Stark looks at it and then looks up to see all of his fellow Avengers crumpled on the ground, defeated.
