I got a Nexus 5 like two months ago. My first smartphone. The battery life really is rubbish. I've found in some instances that I can go to sleep with a full charge and by the time I wake up half of it is gone.
Not even close my dude. Google products are lovely. As a developer I can do whatever the hell I want with my Nexus 5. For iPhone, to even run a Hello World! app I have to fork over $1000, which to me is ridiculous.
Android is a great platform, and Nexus is a decent line of products. I commend Google for the effort.
idk whats up with all you dudes, maybe cause mine isn't stock anymore. Running SlimKat. Battery life is amazing and still as fast as the day I installed it.
I loaded up the Android L preview on my Nexus 5 and it definitely helped with battery life. The battery saver mode kicks in at about 20%. I had it on the charger off and on at work yesterday, so it didn't charge to 100%. I haven't charged it since then and i'm at 5% now.
