Going from their W/L pattern its not the tough teams that are beating them. Its the teams you expect them to beat easily that is giving them losses. Given that i dont see how you can predict their final win total based on the schedule.

Everybody in the conference essentially plays the same schedule though.
This Golden State is incredible. The only thing I hope (for their sake, I do't really have a horse in the race) is that they can keep their level of play up all the way through the season and the postseason. Most teams level up after the All-Star break, and the best teams sometimes level up again during the playoffs or right before. Golden State already seems to be playing at the highest level possible...

I would expect their defensive consistency to get better. They aren't playing consistent defense like they did last year. But when they do it leads to more offense. I think that is where you will see them improve. And it would only get better in a 7 game series as the coaching staff gets more familiar with the opponents tendencies.
