On God I thought when I first saw Girlfriends at like 12 that William was they gay friend or something. Dude was ALWAYS hanging around for no good reason and not trying to smash until him and the lightskinned chick became sex buddies I was like “Oh shyt!”


Gotta actually give props to the show for not having the lone black man just be some gay stereotype.

Wild shyt was that William was more successful than all of them. Joan was a distant second and eventually bailed on a good job, and I believe her house was given to her by her grandmother.

William was up the food chain at the firm and knew how to play the game. He should’ve been with much younger women and running them in and out like a drive thru. His money and access was enough to put him in any circle and with his reach, why wasn’t he traveling to Latin America or Asia to fukk hoes at will.

Dude winds up simping on a chick in his own “circle” even though the other 3 chicks didn’t really qualify as his counterparts on a peer level.

the show thrived with Jamie just being on his grind and trying to find his way in Hollywood. Even when he started to work at Jingles 2000, they introduced new characters that spiced things up on the show but by then he was trying to lock Fancy down.

Him going on tour with Jodeci was a good angle that should’ve been expanded instead of opening the season with him getting kicked out and having nowhere to go over the course of one episode.

Their tension was one of the best dynamics of the show. When they got together that pretty much killed that. No surprise that was the last season of the show

Jaleesa and Colonel Taylor on A Different World was forced as hell.

They got married at the beginning of the 5th season with hardly any indication of attraction between the two, then he impregnated her and must have sent her ass packing cause we didn't see them together in season 6.

Speaking of ADW, Ron and Kim as well as Ron and Freddie was forced as hell. Dude was a bum who took an extra year to graduate college, then afterwards was slumming from place to place. Why would a future doctor and future lawyer waste time with this dude?

I do agree that Jalessa and Colonel Taylor forced, but they actually dated in season 4. Walter even made a comment about it in his goodbye episode.
