This isn't completely necessary. They do need better 3rd party support though.

I don't understand why it bothers people that Nintendo deliberately makes weaker hardware than Sony/Microsoft. Who cares as long as the games are fun. Also having high powered hardware means bigger budget games which in turn means you can't get a game published on such a platform without funding from big companies (i.e.: EA, Activision, Capcom, Sony, Square, etc.). Which in turn means less creative/artistic/unique games.

Nintendo does need to fix the 3rd party issue pronto.
Because their regular games aren't thwt good anymore. Nintendo is all about gimmicks now man, and it waters down gameplay. And I wouldn't even care about graphics if they'd just handle the simple things like online support. They cut corners so much to keep costs down that it makes them look cheap and 2nd rate

Nintendo outsold both other consoles, fukk you mean breh? :dahell:

Sales is what drives innovation, if you ain't selling shyt, you don't have the space to do new shyt. Reason why Nintendo can afford to take Ls with third parties is because the Wii and DS did numbers, and they did numbers because they put out enjoyable games. Am I a Nintendo fan? No. But I recognize that they won the first half of 2015 (and late 2014) gaming with shyt like Bayonetta 2, Splatoon, Super Smash Bros, the Yoshi and Kirby joints

The point is, them as almost exclusively a one studio sourced gaming company is putting out superior first parties than both combined. That being said, it's hard to still consider them as part as the general war when you get to console gaming, as consoles are by no means Nintendo's selling point. I personally want a company with the same initiative as Nintendo to come in the hardcore gaming and at the very least light a fire under Sony/Microsoft

And yeah this goes for Sony too, they just got two straight years of nothing but boo boo out the way, if 2016 doesn't fulfill on these E3 promises, they trash too. They just happened to be picking on a retarded kid, but now Microsoft read some books, got in the gym, and they genuinely back in the fight.

You are not making bit a sense

Dude u are overeating the fukk out of their games. None of those games you mentioned are great generation defining games. Those are decent games, that's it. Btw What initiative are you talking about? Nintendos initiative is to cut corners and make it so that they are bringing in profits, by the expense of putting out great games THAT PEOPLE WANT. So what kind of initiative do u want a new company to have?

They are putting out great games and I'm pretty sure Bayonetta 2 was a better exclusive than anything the other two had in 2014

For all those sales Nintendo was the first in line to replace and pull the plug on the Wii completely. They sold a lot of hardware to people who in turn didn't buy games for it.

The Wii U has gotten some of the best Nintendo games in generations. Doesn't matter because in the end the overall gaming community is has moved on from them.

If you look at Nintendo game console sales each of their consoles excluding the Wii has sold worse than the previous console. There's a reason for that. In a market that's expanding and growing larger Nintendo console sales consistently decline.

I miss Sega yall

:mjcry:

Dreamcast was so piff, why did it have to die
:damn:
Because like I been saying the market won't support 3 companies in the same lane. Sony's rise meant either Nintendo or Sega had to go. Sega went bankrupt so it was them. I'm in the minority in that I own a Wii U (i seldom use) an Xbox One (I occasionally use) and a PS4 (I mostly use) and I have no problem spending $500 for some hardware I'll use occasionally.

The truth is it's too difficult to juggle 3 systems and get a heavy rotation on all of them. You'll likely favor 2 or 1. Most people don't wanna own more than 1 system. Having 3 is too much of a financial strain on many people.

I swear I owned a Wii and the only games I really played on it were Arc Rise Fantasia, Xenoblade, Mario Galaxy, part of Twilight Princess, part of Skyward Sword and part of The Last Story and I had the console since launch and still own it. Doesn't bother me that I effectually barely played the thing because I really enjoyed the games I did play on it.

Because they haven't appealed to the common hardcore gamer? That's history though, we're talking about NOW where Wii U is producing better FPT than their opponents even with declining sales.

Tells you a lot about Sony and Microsoft are doing with that money, hmm?

And I mean for consoles, Steam ain't advertising to the same crew

With Nintendo not looking like they'll just blatantly ignore next gen consoles going forward and third party developers, they'll either continue appealing to a certain niche (mainly portable) or become a third party studio themselves

Sony and Microsoft can basically get away with doing whatever they want with these lineups (2016 looks a lot better tho) with no real problems. We need that third thing to spur them to actually put out things instead of promises you feel me? Exclusives shouldn't almost all be skippable and third party titles shouldn't be compromised with PC vs Console porting

Just my thoughts
If google makes a console the game is over. <---see what i did there. They can afford to take a loss for the next 600 years.
